English Literature to the Restoration
This course surveys English literature from is earliest beginnings to the Restoration (1660), with an emphasis on major authors. Students will read a variety of genres closely and critically, and will examine how these texts relate to their socio-political, religious and cultural environments. Students will be introduced to literary research. This course is a Mt. Royal University course for students in their Third and Fourth year. The numbering system is based upon their guidelines. Students register through Medicine Hat College. NOTE: Students cannot receive credit for both ENGL 2210 and ENGL 300.
- Prerequisites: Any two 200-level English courses; 202 or 203 is highly recommended or for those in the MRU Education program any one 1000-level English course and GNED 1401 is also acceptable.
