When I work on a series of images, I seldom begin with an intended outcome or thematic approach. That usually arrives somewhere in the middle of the series, and the content slowly reveals itself through some common thread in the end. I prefer to work that way because it allows me to change, to search, and to discover where the work might take me. It also allows me to experiment with different techniques and to discover new textural surfaces, which perhaps for me is more important than the content. It is the journey and the experience that matter most.
