Darren Howes, Instructor
Areas of Interest: Marketing, International Business, Strategic Management, Economics, MarketingDarren Howes has his Doctorate in Business Administration from Northcentral University and his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Saskatchewan. Darren has been with MHC since 2002 where he teaches international business, economics and business integration. He has also previously lectured for Athabasca University in the area of international business management and international economics. Darren began his career at MHC as a recruiter before moving into the faculty of business. Along with his teaching, Darren has been the coordinator for the Business Administration program since 2007 and was the chair from 2014-2016. Darren is a faculty advisor for Enactus MHC, an international leadership development program and has also been a faculty advisor for several case competitions including the Alberta Deans of Business Case Competition and the Cor Van Raay Agribusiness Case Competition. Along with tremendous success at these competitions, Darren was awarded a Global Best Award for Community Partnerships from the International Partnership Network in Oslo, Norway in 2016.
