Began teaching at MHC: 2023
Although my career began in engineering, I’ve spent the past decade teaching math, statistics, and computing. During this time, I have helped numerous students succeed in their academic pursuits and built strong relationships with colleagues, collaborating to achieve corporate goals. My current interests lie in applying math and statistics, alongside tools like Python, SQL, Power BI, and Excel, to solve complex real-world and financial problems.
Teaching is a calling for me – something that truly fulfills me. It's unsettling to see students struggle with mathematical concepts, knowing how foundational they are to many careers. Often, limitations in math, statistics, and analytical courses push students away from careers they've always dreamed of. That’s why my focus in the classroom is to assess each student's level and tailor my teaching, helping even those in the lowest quartile fall in love with the concepts. I bring real-life examples into my lessons to give the numbers practical meaning.
At MHC, students benefit from strong support—both technological resources and staff eager to help them succeed. This supportive environment makes teaching even more enjoyable, knowing I’m not alone in shaping tomorrow’s leaders.
Outside of work, my family—my wife and two daughters—are a central part of my life. We spend our spare time watching movies together, making my career and family life wonderfully intertwined.
