Welcome
Medicine Hat College’s School of Health and Community Services offers an array of programs in the caring and helping professions. Healthcare and therapy professionals, social workers, healthcare aides and technicians will be in high demand over the next 3-5 years, and these jobs appeal to those who like to serve others, sometimes in intense, one-on-one situations.
Whether it is helping a child communicate more independently and effectively (Speech Language Pathologist Assistant), counseling traumatized children (Child and Youth Care Counselor), responding to a heart attack victim (Paramedicine), or serving as a medical/surgical nurse (Nursing), MHC’s School of Health and Community Services offers programs that lead to fulfilling, lifelong careers that help others in a time of need.
Almost all of MHC’s health and community services programs are accredited, meaning that our faculty and our courses meet the highest standards of quality. Our programs also offer work-integrated learning experiences such as clinical practice and practicums that develop the human skills of compassion, collaboration, and communication that employers are looking for.
